" The city is humanity's laboratory, where people flock to dream, create, build and rebuild". - Edward L. Glaesser, The Triumphant City. The project explores the notion of reclaiming Cahill Expressway for pedestrian uses to reconnect City and Water, Heritage and Nature. Chaotic circulation guided the project and acts as a datum for space planning. Since it is first built, Cahill Expressway played a negative character for the city as it divides physically and visually of the city and water. Converting Cahill Expressway into a linear park connecting the water, transport and city increases the opportunity of the space. The original facade is stripped off to reveal the wondrous naked structure lying beneath it, Improving visual clarity of the dancing water body from the rigid city allowing the connection of visual character between those two.
