Bangladesh has been experiencing an unprecedented elderly rise in the phenomenon as " burden and unemployable“ and also known as “left Behind” in the family.
To develop a community interaction environment for the elderly, we have to understand the means of growing older in our society. Being aged is total a normal and definitely a universal process of life. We are born and grow elder gradually.
Oftentimes, after retirement, an elder person feels isolated and lonely as they do not find any work for them to spend their time. However, significant large percentage elder people want to be active, want to serve society as long as possible.
A young group of people can play a different role in order to support them to make feel productive.
This project began with an initial interest in knowing “left Behind” elderly peoples’ lives and their thoughts.
The Hypothesis of this project is actually, architectural intervention indeed can bring significant changes in social interaction. Successful project around the world has been studied and also the learning process has been implemented into this project in different aspects.
To justify the project, in reality, thoughts and considerations have also been diagramed, how ideas have open up by explaining the development process of the proposal.
Over the course of the year, the design evolved through new concepts, constraints and conditions which has been modified time of time and refine into the design. The articulation of the program and space was challenging in order to achieve the goals of the project
