The project is play-structure, manifesting on spatial quality as lateral thinking in the creation of a healthy built environment in a small town, Wakaf Tapai, located in the eastern peninsular of Malaysia. Inviting 60% of the town population to explore their territory to play. Those that affected the most by the current development that lacking understanding and violated genius loci, the spirit of place thus hurting the human environment of the local. The project accommodates the local with library park, communal spaces, recycle collection point, and playhouse area, celebrating every small culture to increase social capital, giving a sense of ownership and pride to the local with the most neutral, the qualitative energy that accumulates collective character on certain space with the specific details, charging them with complex significance and cultural references with semantic material, social constructions of intersubjective memories. The project is an innocuous development providing suggestions, an architectural dialogue to the history in the making in this town. Projecting a transpersonal experience through the landscape to invite individuality engagement to the spaces.
